ABOUT HILL COUNTRY COMMUNITY THEATRE

HCCT: A Hill Country Tradition

HCCT's mission is to present and promote quality theatre activities and programs that entertain, educate and encourage community participation in the support of performance and related cultural arts.

The Hill Country Community Theatre is an intregral part of the Texas Hill Country arts community.

Since its beginnings in 1985, when co-founders GiGi Fischer and the late Phyl Holbert, began by staging productions in an old firehouse, HCCT has provided entertainment to Hill Country audiences. Now housed in a 147-seat proscenium stage theatre, HCCT presents five shows a year, with more than 40 performances a season attended by audiences totaling more than 6,000 persons. In recent years formal partnerships with The Harmony School of Creative Arts and Faith Academy have led to the beginnings of a children's theatre program which continues to grow.

An all-volunteer organization with one parttime employee, HCCT annually draws some 250 unpaid volunteers  who give their time and talent in areas from set construction, props, make-up and painting to working in our box office, lobby decoration and hosting. Businesses throughout the Hill Country support the theatre by advertising in our programs, sponsoring productions, and providing cash donations, production underwriting, free or discounted products for use in productions, and group or client bookings that take advantage of the theatre's full kitchen, large lobby and access to area catering firms.

HCCT, a chartered 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization, is a member of The Texas Non-Profit Theaters Assn. and the American Assn. of Community Theaters.
