The third annual variety show and auction, “Saturday Night Life” will return to the Hill Country Community Theatre stage in Cottonwood Shores on Saturday, March 24, 2007, with an evening of family friendly entertainment. All proceeds from the show and auction will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Taking center stage as emcee for the third year is everyone’s favorite cousin, Cousin Willie Ray (Larry Elkins). Larry has toured with the Grand Ole Opry and has performed in Branson, Missouri and at the Llano, Mason and Burnet Country Oprys.

Also returning this year to sing a few old country favorites is Big Lloyd Dalton. He has previously performed at the Llano, Mason and Burnet Country Oprys. Lloyd has opened shows for such country greats as Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Mel Tillis and Web Pierce as well as made appearances on the Louisiana Hayride, the Big D Jamboree and the Nashville Network.

New to the HCCT stage this year are Borrowed Time, the Maisano Family and Smokin for Jesus.

Brian Byrne & Borrowed Time play acoustic Americana-folk, traditional old time ballads, bluegrass and new grass, gospel and cross-over country accompanied by guitar, fiddle, mandolin and harmonica.

The Maisano Family is a hometown favorite from Burnet. The family act highlights their young, very talented children. Each can play three instruments.

Smokin for Jesus is a Christian based charity organization with a mission to reach the neighborhoods and surrounding areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Founded by Elder Willie Monnet, Sr. in 1996, their ministry uses preaching, dancing, signing and drama as a witness to many to express the love of Jesus Christ and the power of deliverance.

The evening will include a silent and live auction at intermission. Doors will open at 6pm for silent action viewing/bidding.

Showtime is at 7pm. All tickets will be sold in advance for a $20 donation to the American Cancer Society. Tickets are limited and a sellout performance is anticipated.
