Play On!
by Rick Abbot
April 15th – 25th

This is the uproarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty authoress who keeps revising the script. Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance in which anything that can go wrong does. When the authoress decides to give a speech on the state of the modern theatre during the curtain calls, the audience is treated to a madcap climax to a thoroughly hilarious romp. Even the sound effects reap their share of laughter! Cast: 3 men, 7 women Auditions: Monday and Tuesday, March 1st- 2nd

Brigadoon
by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe
July 15th – August 1st

A mysterious Scottish village appears for only one day every hundred years, though to the villagers, the passing of each century seems no longer than one night. The enchantment is viewed by them as a blessing rather than a curse, for it saved the village from destruction. According to their covenant, no one from Brigadoon may ever leave or the enchantment will be broken and the site and all its inhabitants will disappear into the mist forever. Two American tourists, lost in the Scottish Highlands, stumble upon the village just as a wedding is about to be celebrated, and their arrival threatens to break the covenant. Songs include Waitin' for My Dearie, I'll Go Home with Bonnie Jean, Come to Me, Bend to Me, Almost Like Being in Love, The Heather on the Hill and My Mother's Weddin' Day. Cast: 30-35 men, women and children Auditions: Monday and Tuesday, May 10th- 11th
